Big changes are coming to Walt Disney World dining in 2027—and it’s a mix of exciting news and a bittersweet goodbye for families.
Deluxe Dining Plan Returns
For the first time since the pandemic, Disney is bringing back the Deluxe Dining Plan, giving guests a more flexible and elevated dining experience.
The plan includes:
- 2 table-service meals per night
- 1 quick-service meal per night
- 1 snack per night
- Refillable resort mug
That’s up to three meals per day, making it ideal for guests who love character dining, signature restaurants, and a more relaxed vacation pace.
“The return of the Deluxe Dining Plan is huge for Disney food lovers,” says Natali Bohm, owner of Axis Travel Group. “It gives guests the flexibility to really enjoy the dining experience without feeling rushed.”
But There’s a Catch for Families
While the deluxe plan is making a comeback, another popular perk is going away.
Currently, many 2026 Disney packages offer FREE dining plans for kids ages 3–9 when bundled with a dining plan. However, starting in 2027, that benefit disappears.
Instead, children in that age group will receive only 20% off dining plans.
“For families with younger kids, this is a major shift,” Bohm explains. “If you have a child who qualifies for free dining in 2026—especially if they’re turning 10 soon—it may actually be more cost-effective to travel sooner.”

Choosing between 2026 and 2027 comes down to timing, budget, and family needs.
