- Axis Travel Group | Taking The Stress Out Of Your Vacation

The holidays are coming to Walt Disney World sooner than you think.
Disney has officially unveiled details for the highly anticipated 2026 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and holiday fans are already marking their calendars for one of the most magical seasonal events of the year.
The separately ticketed celebration returns to Magic Kingdom Park on select nights from November 8 through December 22, 2026, bringing festive entertainment, holiday-themed attractions, exclusive character experiences, seasonal treats, and plenty of Christmas magic to Walt Disney World Resort.
“This is one of the most popular special events Disney offers all year,” said Natali Bohm, owner of Axis Travel Group. “Guests love the festive atmosphere, lower attraction wait times, exclusive entertainment, and unforgettable holiday memories. We encourage families to start planning early because party dates and Disney resort availability can sell out quickly.”
The event will take place on the following dates:
November 8, 9, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20, 24, 25, 27, and 29
December 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 17, 18, 20, and 22
Guests attending the party can enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4:00 p.m., even though the official event begins at 7:00 p.m., giving visitors up to three extra hours in the park before the festivities kick off.
Guests staying at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, and Shades of Green will have early access to tickets beginning July 9, 2026.
Tickets become available to all other guests on July 16, 2026.
Discounted pricing will once again be available for eligible Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members.
Advance Purchase is STRONGLY recommended. Popular dates (especially weekends in December) sell out weeks or even months in advance.
Prices are tiered based on date, with mid-November and weekdays being the cheapest and weekends in December being the most expensive.
You can enter the Magic Kingdom with your party ticket as early as 4:00 PM, even though the official party hours usually start at 7:00 PM (6:00 PM on some nights). This gives you a 3-4 hour head start without using a regular park ticket.
Hot Cocoa: A warm, non-alcoholic beverage perfect for a chilly Florida evening.
Location: Treat stations are marked on the party map you receive upon entry. They are scattered throughout the park.
2025 Cookies selection:
As night falls, Main Street, U.S.A. is transformed into a winter wonderland with a special “snow” flurry. It’s a soap-based foam, but the effect is incredibly magical, especially for those who don’t experience real snow. It happens periodically throughout the evening.
Walt Disney World has revealed the keepsake ornament guests can take home after the event. The ornament features Mickey Mouse and Pluto in a pickup, hauling a Christmas tree. The Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party logo is on the door of the ornament, and the truck has peppermint candy rims.
Guests will receive the party-exclusive ornament at check-in, and it is included with the purchase of their event ticket. In the past, the ornament has been available at the Main Street USA bypass or at one of the in-park check-in locations.
This is the core of the party experience. Do not miss these!
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade: This is the holiday parade, featuring floats, marching toy soldiers, dancing reindeer, and all your favorite characters dressed for the season. The highlight is the arrival of Santa Claus himself.
Pro Tip: There are usually two parades (e.g., 8:30 PM and 11:00 PM). The second parade is almost always less crowded.
Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks: A spectacular fireworks show set to classic holiday music, narrated by Mickey and Minnie. It’s a beautiful, heartwarming display that lights up the sky over Cinderella Castle.
A Frozen Holiday Wish: This stage show in front of Cinderella Castle features Queen Elsa using her powers to light the castle in a brilliant display of ice-blue holiday lights. It’s a magical “castle dream-lighting” ceremony.
Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration: A high-energy, special-edition stage show on the Cinderella Castle stage featuring Mickey, Minnie, and a huge cast of characters singing and dancing to holiday tunes.
This is a major draw. Characters appear in special holiday attire that is exclusive to the party.
Jack Skellington as Sandy Claws: This is one of the most sought-after meets in all of Walt Disney World. The line forms early and is very long.
The Seven Dwarfs: Meet all seven together in their mining outfits. Another extremely popular meet.
Mickey Mouse & Friends: Meet Mickey and the gang in their festive best at locations like Town Square Theater.
Rare Characters: You might find unusual characters like Scrooge McDuck, Clarabelle Cow, and Horace Horsecollar.
Princesses: Many princesses can be found in their winter gowns.
Pro Tip: Prioritize your “must-meet” characters and head to them first. Use the My Disney Experience app to confirm locations.
Most of the park’s major attractions are open with significantly shorter wait times.
Jingle Cruise: The Jungle Cruise gets a hilarious holiday overlay with new scripted jokes from the skippers, festive decorations, and a new name. This is a party-exclusive experience. (This holiday overlay is available to all guests, both during the day and during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party)
Other Rides: Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain (closed for 2025), Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Peter Pan’s Flight, and more are typically open. This is your chance to ride them with minimal waits, especially during the parades and fireworks.
Merchandise: Special event-specific merchandise is released, including spirit jerseys, pins, ornaments, T-shirts, and MagicBands. These are only available during the party nights.
Specialty Snacks: *A complete food guide is at the bottom of this page.* – While cookies and cocoa are free, you can also purchase special holiday-themed treats at food locations around the park, such as themed cupcakes, cake pops, and specialty drinks (including spiked ones for adults).
This year’s party-exclusive popcorn bucket will be a Holiday Christmas Tree Truck bucket.
Arrive Early: Enter the park at 4:00 PM with your party ticket.
4:00 PM – 6:00 PM:
Use this time to do non-party specific things: ride a headliner attraction that will have long lines later (like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train), have an early dinner, or soak in the daytime holiday decorations.
Pick up your party map, wristband, and complimentary treat bag.
6:00 PM – 7:00 PM:
Find your first character meet-and-greet spot or get in line for the Jingle Cruise. Party-specific experiences often start a bit before the official party time.
7:00 PM Onwards (Party Time!):
Prioritize: Decide what’s most important to you (characters, shows, rides) and build your schedule around the showtimes.
Use “Opportune Times”: Ride popular attractions during the first parade and the first fireworks show. Lines will be at their absolute shortest.
Watch the Second Parade: It’s less crowded, making it easier to get a good spot.
End of the Night:
Enjoy the final “snowfall” on Main Street and do some last-minute shopping for exclusive merchandise.
Comfortable Shoes: You will be doing a lot of walking and standing.
Layers: Florida nights can be surprisingly chilly in November/December. Bring a jacket or sweater.
Holiday Attire: It’s incredibly common and fun for guests to wear Christmas sweaters, holiday-themed Mickey ears, Santa hats, and other festive gear.
Portable Phone Charger: You’ll be using your phone for photos, the app, and more.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is more than just a ticket; it’s an immersive, magical holiday experience that captures the spirit of the season through the unique lens of Disney. While it is an additional expense, the lower crowds, exclusive entertainment, rare character interactions, and enchanting atmosphere make it “The Ultimate Holiday Ticket” for anyone wanting to experience the pinnacle of Christmas magic at Walt Disney World. For many families, it’s a cherished tradition and the highlight of their holiday season.
