When planning your trip to Walt Disney World, one of the best ways to preserve your memories is by using Disney’s Memory Maker. This all-in-one PhotoPass service offers unlimited digital downloads of every photo taken throughout the parks, including those captured on rides. It’s the perfect way to relive your magical moments long after your adventure ends!

What is Memory Maker?

At its heart, Memory Maker is a digital download service that allows you to access and save all the photos taken by Disney’s professional PhotoPass photographers. While PhotoPass photographers are free to use, individual photo downloads typically cost around $29 each. With Memory Maker, you can enjoy unlimited downloads of your photos for 30 days after activation.

You can purchase Memory Maker anytime, even after your trip, but to save some money, it’s best to buy it at least 3 days before your vacation. This early purchase saves you $35, bringing the cost down to $185.

Memory Maker One Day

If you’re not planning to spend an extended time at the parks, consider Memory Maker One Day. This option is ideal for special events like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party or Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, which are filled with unique photo opportunities, including special “Magic Shots.” The One Day pass is available for $69 and can be purchased online or through the Disney app.

Making the Most of Your Memory Maker

Once you’ve purchased Memory Maker, it’s time to maximize its potential! One great way to do so is by interacting with the Disney PhotoPass photographers scattered throughout the parks. They can be found at iconic locations, so be sure to take advantage of their services as you explore. You can even find photographer locations through the My Disney Experience app.

For thrill-seekers, many rides also offer ride photos! Whether you’re on Space Mountain, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, or Expedition Everest, your ride photos are automatically included with your Memory Maker purchase. Plus, if you’ve bought the Lightning Lane Multi Pass, your ride photos are included too.

Capture Your Moment: A Private Photo Session

For a more personalized touch, Disney also offers Capture Your Moment, a 20-minute private photo session with a PhotoPass photographer for $99. During the session, the photographer will guide you to unique spots around the park, often away from the usual photo areas. If you’ve purchased Memory Maker, all photos from this session are included for free!

Pro Tip: When you first enter Main Street at Magic Kingdom, you’ll notice PhotoPass photographers stationed along the way, all the way up to the castle. Many guests get excited and stop at the first few photographers they see, creating longer lines. To avoid this, walk a little further and head toward the photographers closer to the castle. Not only will the lines be much shorter, but you’ll also get the best photos, with minimal crowds behind you and the iconic castle as your backdrop!

Is Memory Maker Worth It? Without a doubt! Memory Maker is one of the best souvenirs you can bring home from your Disney trip—one that won’t break or get lost. It lets you fully immerse yourself in the magic of the parks, knowing that every moment is being captured by skilled professionals. With every photo, you can focus on enjoying your time and relive those memories once you’re home.
