Starting February 25, 2025, two beloved attractions—Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT—will no longer use virtual queues. Instead, both rides will transition to traditional standby lines and Lightning Lane options, giving guests more flexibility in how they experience these fan-favorite adventures.
This update marks the end of virtual queues at Disney World—for now. But don’t worry, this change opens up new opportunities for you to plan your visit with ease. Let’s dive into the details!
What’s Changing?
Previously, guests could use the My Disney Experience app to join a virtual queue for these attractions at 7:00 AM (before entering the park) or at 1:00 PM (while inside the park). Starting February 25, you’ll simply head to the ride entrance and hop into the standby line or opt for the Lightning Lane if you’ve purchased Lightning Lane Multi Pass (for Tiana) or individual Lightning Lane access (for Guardians).
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure: This reimagined Splash Mountain attraction opened in Frontierland last summer and has been a hit with guests. Now, you can experience the bayou’s magic without the hassle of virtual queues.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind: Since its debut in May 2022, this thrilling roller coaster has been a must-ride for EPCOT visitors. The shift to standby lines means you can now plan your ride time more directly.
Early Entry Perks for Disney Resort Guests
Here’s some exciting news for those staying at Disney Resort hotels or select partner hotels: Starting February 25, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will be available during early entry! This means you can enjoy this epic coaster—along with other EPCOT favorites—30 minutes before the park officially opens.
