I was genuinely shocked by how deeply I fell in love with this park—so much so that it felt like I was dreaming as I moved from one incredible land to the next. That’s the kind of magic Epic Universe delivers. Each area, each attraction, is brought to life with such cutting-edge technology and immersive detail that it almost feels unreal. And yet, it’s all right there in front of you—vivid, enchanting, and absolutely unforgettable.
Epic Universe is a fully immersive theme park like no other, divided into five distinct and creatively themed lands, each packed with state-of-the-art attractions and hidden surprises around every corner. From jaw-dropping rides to interactive experiences, this park is built for guests of all ages to explore and enjoy.
One of my personal favorite lands is Dark Universe, a dream come true for horror fans. This eerie, atmospheric area is centered around Frankenstein’s Mansion, which is both visually stunning and chillingly immersive. Hidden within is one of the park’s standout attractions—Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment—a thrilling dark ride that features unforgettable animatronics, classic monsters like Dracula and the Mummy, and more than a few surprises that had everyone screaming with delight. The spooky vibes continue throughout the land, from smoky wells and the scent of garlic in the air to the delightfully creepy Burning Blade Tavern, which offers themed bites and beverages you won’t want to miss.
Next, prepare to be whisked away to How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk. Whether or not you’re familiar with the movies, this land is a must-see. It’s packed with things to do, from a fun family coaster to a breathtaking dragon meet-and-greet with Toothless and his friend Hiccup. The highlight for me was the Untrainable Dragon show—a heartfelt performance featuring soaring dragons and special effects so magical they brought tears to my eyes. The land also delivers on the food front, and yes, the mac and cheese cone is every bit as delicious as you’ve heard.
Then there’s Super Nintendo World, which is an absolute explosion of color, nostalgia, and joy. If you grew up in the ’80s or ’90s, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped directly into your favorite video game. From the iconic green pipes to the twinkling gold coins, this world is pure energy and fun. Whether you’re racing through the Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge attraction or meeting beloved characters like Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach, you’re in for an unforgettable experience.
Over in the magical realm of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, guests are transported to 1920s Paris, merging the aesthetic of the Fantastic Beasts films with classic wizarding lore.
This land is rich in detail, from charming Parisian-style cafes to one of the park’s most innovative rides—Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry. The ride seamlessly blends storytelling with advanced technology in a way that blurs the line between fantasy and reality. You don’t need to be a Harry Potter fan to be completely blown away.
The land also features an immersive live show that combines puppetry, acrobatics, and magical visuals for a stunning spectacle.
Finally, at the heart of it all lies Celestial Park, the breathtaking central hub of Epic Universe. Think sparkling waterfalls, elegant fountains, and lush green spaces where you can take a break from the thrills and simply soak in the beauty.
This area offers fine dining, boutique shopping, cozy bars, and even a Starbucks for your caffeine fix. It’s the perfect place to wind down and reflect on your day. As night falls, the park transforms into an illuminated wonderland, with glowing archways and celestial beams lighting up the sky. It’s the kind of magic that makes you feel like you’re dreaming.
And speaking of dreams, towering above it all is the stunning new Universal Helios Grand Hotel, located inside the park.
This luxurious hotel not only offers unbeatable views and direct access to the fun, but also completes the feeling that you’ve stepped into a whole new universe.
