The highly anticipated The Perch Lobby Bar has soft opened at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, offering guests a first taste of its Victorian-inspired elegance ahead of its official debut on Monday, November 10.
Natali Bphm, owner of Axis Travel Group, was among the first to experience the new venue and shared her immediate impressions. “We’re always scouting the latest and greatest for our clients, and The Perch is an absolute triumph,” Bphm exclaimed. “I had the chance to try one of their signature cocktails, and it was as exquisite as the surroundings. Inspired by the resort’s iconic, former lobby birdcage, The Perch is a stunning addition that complements the hotel’s grand aesthetic. The bar itself is a work of art, crafted from rich dark wood and adorned with stained glass featuring birds, flowers, and leaves. Brass accents and Victorian styling tie the space seamlessly into the main lobby.
Notable design features include an arched stained-glass piece that glows behind the bar, marble bar tops and inlaid flooring, and elegant bar stools upholstered in brown leather and filigree-patterned velvet. In a thoughtful touch, the bar menu is shaped to mimic the stained-glass window behind the bar, with one side showcasing the circular Grand Floridian “GF” monogram.
The bar menu features a selection of sophisticated beverages, including two signature cocktails and a non-alcoholic option, promising a refined experience for every guest. The Perch will be open nightly until 11:00 PM ET.
The opening of The Perch is a key milestone in the ongoing refurbishment of the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. In related news, Disney recently announced that the long-shuttered Garden View Lounge will reopen early next year with a refreshed look and a return of its beloved tea service.
