The adventure begins with a tram ride deep into Universal’s backlot, transporting you—quite literally—back in time. This isn’t just a ride; it’s a gateway to the world where Doc Brown and Marty McFly changed movie history. As you approach the set, there’s a buzz of excitement in the air. It’s the exact location where the famous Clock Tower stands—yep, the Clock Tower from the film.
The moment you step off the tram, you’re greeted by the nostalgic “Welcome to Hill Valley” signs. And who’s there to meet you? A delightfully confused Marty McFly in his iconic orange vest, glancing around like he’s just landed in another era. It sets the tone perfectly: you’re not just visiting a set—you’re stepping into the movie itself.

The festival space is filled with instantly recognizable locations from the film. Walk down the street past Lou’s Café, spot Biff’s gleaming car parked nearby, and of course, admire the majestic Clock Tower in all its glory. And yes, Einstein is there! You can even snap a photo with Doc Brown’s loyal pup inside the DeLorean. This isn’t a passive exhibit—it’s interactive and fully alive with characters, performances, and nostalgic touches everywhere you look.
Live-Action Scenes & Characters Around Every Corner
Throughout the experience, you’ll run into many of the film’s beloved characters. We spotted Doc Brown rushing around excitedly, explaining his wild experiments and theories, and Lorraine and her group of friends giggling about the dance and her mysterious new crush—Marty.
One of the most impressive recreations was the tense confrontation between George McFly and Biff. The scene was acted out live with such energy, ending in the satisfying moment when George musters his courage and punches Biff, followed by that adorable invite to Lorraine to attend the dance.
The Enchantment Under the Sea Dance – A Showstopper
Then came the highlight of the experience: the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance. A live band performed hits like “Earth Angel,” perfectly capturing the film’s magical prom scene. The actors encouraged everyone to join in and dance, and the vibe was absolutely electric. You could feel the tension as Marty watched his parents from the side, hoping for that fateful kiss that would save his existence. When they finally kissed—cheers erupted!
And of course, the dance ends with Marty picking up a guitar and jamming out to “Johnny B. Goode,” blowing 1955 minds with his rock n’ roll moves. You’re welcome to dance along and really soak up the moment. It was one of those rare, surreal fan experiences that truly gives you goosebumps.

Beyond the live-action scenes, there’s even more to explore. Carnival-style games are set up around the event space, and a themed snack station offers movie-inspired treats. We highly recommend trying the “Out of Time” cookie—a nod to the famous DeLorean license plate—and the delicious ice cream options.
Another fun photo spot features flaming tire tracks left by the DeLorean as it speeds through time. These immersive little details make the experience feel like a true labor of love for fans.

Each of the live movie scenes runs on a rotating schedule, so if you miss one, don’t stress—it’ll come around again. On average, expect to spend 45 to 60 minutes to fully experience everything: from character interactions and scenes to games, snacks, and photo ops.
